Sustainable Processes
We are proactively committed to considering environmental protection and safety in all of our activities. Each of our worldwide facilities is required to adhere strictly to the principles of the cleanliness and safety code outlined by the Group’s Environment, Safety & Health department.

We operate a global incident reporting and emergency management system and have launched a global initiative to reduce accidents by encouraging changes in mindset and behavior.
Key Performance Indicators

With selected Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) we measure our improvements in terms of resource efficiency, emissions and waste per ton of finished product. Clariant's energy efficiency performance per ton of finished product is better than many of our peers by 25% or more.

Focus on highly motivated and competent workforce

Motivated, well trained employees are of key importance for us helping us to provide service and value through our paper application specialists. Some key aspects are:

  • Cultural Diversity: Our cosmopolitan family is drawn from more than 90 different nations. We aim to provide our managers with international experience to better equip them for leadership roles.
  • Developing our People: People are at the heart of our corporate strategy. Achieving our goals requires a high-performance culture throughout the company.
  • Code of Conduct: Clariant’s Code of Conduct requires the company and all employees to fully abide by a comprehensive set of policies.

Environmental Performance
Thanks to our health and safety programs, we have been awarded the global ISO 14001-2004 and OHSAS ISO 18001-1999 certificates. Our ESH policy fulfils the goals of the Business Charter for Sustainable Development, defined by the International Chamber of Commerce.
